Farmerville ISD is a fast growing school district (4A). The band programs operate between 3 campuses daily. We currently have approximately 350 students enrolled in band from grades 6-12.

Stratford High School has a strong band program with a deep tradition of excellence. Applicants should understand the extracurricular demands of a Class 2A school.

Two concerts are required in the school year and no marching band duties. Band is grades 4 through 12. The 4th graders start on recorder and switch in January to band instruments. Seadrift School is a K-8 grade campus in the town of Seadrift which is apart of Calhoun County ISD. Student lead in to Calhoun HS. The band program was restarted two years ago.
Duties include the band and beginners of the campus. Possibility of assisting elementary music classes on some days.
Position will include the non varsity band at Travis MS and assist with Calhoun HS summer band and Marching Season rehearsal and performances.
Woodwind specialist is preferred.

Canyon ISD and the Canyon High School feeder pattern are seeking qualified energetic, enthusiastic applicants for an associate band director position. This position will serve as lead for the Canyon Junior High Band, instruct beginner classes in line with the candidate’s specialty, and assist with the high school band, ideally as the lead instructor/coordinator for the visual caption of the marching band. A specialty in brass and experience in DCI are preferred qualifications; however, we will consider all qualified applicants.

The Canyon High School feeder pattern has experienced tremendous success in group and individual competitions through TMEA, UIL, and ATSSB. The Canyon Junior High Honors Band has been a TMEA Honor Band finalist. The Canyon High School Band is a consistent UIL State Marching Band Finalist and has regularly advanced to the state level in TMEA Honor Band and ATSSB Outstanding Performance series. In addition, the CHS Band tied for the most students earning a chair in an ATSSB All-State Band.

Orangefield ISD is looking for an enthusiastic and eager addition to our team of 2 other directors. This is an assistant position that goes back and forth from the Junior High to the High School campus. Both Campuses have a strong tradition of UIL Performances. The High School has been a consistent participant at Area Marching Contest and our Junior High has had recent success at UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation.

This position will be responsible for team teaching Homogenous beginner sections and Junior Varsity bands on both the Junior High and High School Campuses as well as assisting with the Varsity groups on each campus.

Woodwind or High Brass specialty would be preferred, but all qualified candidates would be considered.

The position is for the McDowell Middle School Head Band Director/ High School Assistant. McDowell is a 2C Middle School that feeds a 3A High School. Hondo is a rural school district located 35-45 minutes West of San Antonio. We compete in ATSSB Region 11, UIL Region 11/3A AREA E (South Texas). The Middle School Head Director will assist the High School on a daily basis (1st Period) and help at all HS Marching Rehearsals, HS Football Games, and Marching Band Contests on Saturdays. All Band classes at the Middle School are team taught and beginners are split homogeneously.

The Hondo Band program earns consistent sweepstakes at both the Middle School and High School levels. The marching band is a 9 time State Qualifier with recent TSMBC trips in 2020, 2021, and 2023.

The Preferred Candidate will consist of:
Organized team player who is willing to put in hard work to grow the program.
Woodwind or Brass specialist preferred, but all candidates will be considered.
Possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class-B) or have the ability to get one. HISD Band Directors drive Buses to games and contests.
